ESSEC's E&MISE1 Laboratory has carried out a study on the social impact of Café Joyeux. A genuine management tool, this study highlights Café Joyeux's positive impact on its stakeholders: the mentally or cognitively disabled people employed in the Joyeux cafés-restaurants served from the heart, known as team members, families, guests and managers within the cafés-restaurants.
Carried out among 376 people between August and December 2023, the study looked at different profiles in order to answer the question ‘To what extent does Café Joyeux promote good living and a change in the way people look at disability?’ Discover the results of this study below.

Study carried out by the ESSEC E&MISE Laboratory among 376 people, from August to December 2023. The team members surveyed made up a panel of 108 respondents with an average age of 27, 47% of whom were women and 52% men (1% abstained). The panel of families comprised 48 respondents, 68% of whom were women. The average age was 56. The guests represent a panel of 175 respondents. The panel of Café Joyeux supervisors was made up mainly of young women aged between 20 and 30 (62%). 45 café-restaurant supervisors were part of this panel.
